Pod style housing is similar to Dormitory living in the sense it is a co-housing arrangement or pod-style living where there’s a central kitchen, individual bedrooms, and a communal space where people hang out. It would be a good transition to students moving from campus out on their own, amongst other demographics.
The 46-unit project is intended to provide attainable housing, capitalizing off a new housing trend popular in larger cities where housing costs have become an issue.
It is an interesting concept for our growing city and Missoula just might be the city in Montana to test this style of living, given the eclectic makeup of our city’s population.
